2.) At The Playground (Cut)Rolf Becker
Now this funny little melody increases and varies from easy (as a kind of song for children) to really challenging melody lines, featuring 4 Soprano Saxophones, completed with the Baritone Saxophone. When I composed this part I pictured as follows: I see a mother pushing a stroller with a her child towards a playground. At the beginning, that child (about 1 year old) is alone, sitting with his toys in a sandbox before more and more kids arrive the playground. Their mothers or grandparents start to chat and the playground becomes very much alive. The ending of this piece shows our little toddler again who doesn’t care at all what is happening around her or him and is just busy with the toys.
